Hi Roma,

Sampling is a fundamental concept in EEG data acquisition (and any sort of
data which requires recording a continuous, analog natural signal as
digital data on a computer), so I would recommend you read up on this issue
to understand it well. Luck (2005/2014;
http://mitpress.mit.edu/books/introduction-event-related-potential-technique)
is a great introduction. You can also find a lot of information on this
online, for example if you Google "sampling rate and time" there are
several relevant links that describe the relation between time and sampling
rate, e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sampling_(signal_processing)
