[Eeglablist] adding events to an EDF data without events

Hi,

I have an EDF data file imported. It is just raw EEG without any human
annotation nor events. Now I would like to use the GUI of EEGLab to add
events and eventually save the events into a file for further analysis. But
I don't seems to be able to do so unless i can import events first. is
there anyway to annotate a piece of EEG data without events?   Thanks in
advance!
