[Eeglablist] Using Fieldtrip to select vague cardiac ICs

EEGLAB gurus,

I’m curious whether anyone has utilized (and/or would be willing to share) a working script template for evaluating IC data and QRS-complex (ECG) by way of Fieldtrip for use of their time-locking/coherence methods of rejecting ICs of likely cardiac influence (the so-called cardiac field artifact, CFA).

The reason for using this is, sometimes cardiac artifacts are a bit vague when it comes to rejecting ICs in the context of looking for heartbeat evoked potentials. One does not want to confuse HEP-related ICs with the CFA and thus remove real neural signal.

They list a series of steps on their website<https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://www.fieldtriptoolbox.org/example/use_independent_component_analysis_ica_to_remove_ecg_artifacts/__;!!Mih3wA!VEYT6Kaf2ITiruwwhgVLG2_bK1W0dmNvMA36goRKU0acxZSDO7RIUCavQqDsIKjqGGpevQ$ >, but I am unclear how/where to plug in my EEGLAB structured data to utilize it.

Thanks!
