[Eeglablist] 2 sets of participants, z-score normalization?

Hey,
We have done our experiment with 2 sets of participants (same protocol 
but different years, and the amplifiers have been revised between the 
2), the initial idea was to merge the 2 sets. But the ERPs of these 2 
sets are different (see example below). Do you think we should try to 
compare them by z-score normalization? If so, should we normalize on the 
subjects (average across the trials) or on the grand average for each of 
the 2 sets? would you have others ideas, please?
