The following is an announcement for an assistant professor opening we have
at Notre Dame's psychology department.
Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience

The Department of Psychology at the University of Notre Dame invites
applications for a *tenure-track assistant professor position in
Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience* that will begin in the Fall of 2022.
We are seeking individuals who are conducting novel and innovative research
in any area of Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience. Any age focus across
the lifespan is welcome, from infancy to older adulthood. The successful
applicant will be expected to demonstrate and maintain excellence in their
research area that has the potential to be externally funded, teach
undergraduate and doctoral-level courses that advance curriculum, mentor
undergraduate and doctoral students, and supervise theses and
dissertations. The Department of Psychology has a strong culture of
collaborative and integrative work within and across program areas, and
scholars who can bridge their core developmental interests with
complementary departmental strengths in cognition, brain and behavior,
clinical, and quantitative psychological sciences are particularly
attractive. The Department houses labs that use a variety of
neurophysiological and neuroendocrine assessment methods (EEG, TMS,
eyetracking, salivary cortisol and stress biomarkers), including MRI at
off-campus clinics. Applicants whose research complements and expands our
existing expertise are especially encouraged to apply.

The College of Arts and Letters at the University of Notre Dame is
investing heavily in the Psychology Department, achieving several new hires
in recent years. The University and Psychology department are committed to
building the research methodologies and teaching resources to further the
mission of our Neuroscience and Behavior Program (

surrounding areas offer high quality of life, low cost of living, and
substantial choice and availability in housing within urban, suburban, and
rural settings. Recent urban planning emphasizes short commutes, with
workplaces,
stores, homes, and recreation brought into proximity. The South Bend area
is also close to Lake Michigan beaches and resort towns, as well as the
Chicago metro area and suburbs, which are readily accessible by car and
train.

To guarantee full consideration, applications must be received by October
31, 2021, but the review of applications will continue until the position
is filled. For questions, please contact Dawn Gondoli, Search Committee
