Dr. Laurel Gabard-Durnam is looking to hire a postdoctoral fellow with
interests in infant/toddler EEG/ERP measures of neurodevelopment, early
executive function emergence, and adversity to join our PINE Lab community.
This position is funded through our Wellcome LEAP 1Kd award to study how
the early environment and brain development together shape early executive
function skills over the first 3 years of life. This project includes
largescale multisite data from South Africa and Malawi as well as access to
data from additional international sites. We will use EEG across cultures
to identify the global, country-, and culture-specific factors that promote
healthy brain and executive function development and the sensitive windows
for interventions. The postdoctoral fellow will become part of our
international consortium working to address these aims. This position
includes opportunities to travel internationally.

The fellow may also access our other rich datasets examining
experience-driven neurodevelopment or contribute to ongoing projects in
Boston as desired to best build their program of research. Please see our
current studies page (

about ongoing projects.

Please see our lab culture page to understand our PINE Lab community values
for our researchers (

Additionally,
the postdoctoral fellow will be a member of our Center for Cognitive and
Brain Health, a growing collection of human neuroscience faculty
addressing core questions about brain and mental health across the
lifespan. Our Center includes a dynamic community of postdoctoral scholars
and collaborative opportunities for training in Northeastern’s ISEC
building (awarded Boston’s most beautiful new building award).

If you are interested in this position, please reach out with a CV and
cover letter to Dr. Gabard-Durnam (l.gabard-durnam at northeastern.edu). Dr.
Gabard-Durnam encourages individuals from under-represented groups in
science to apply. Postdoctoral fellows may start anytime this summer of
2022.
