Hi Agatha
> Hi. I am struggling with the precomputed file creation in studies in EEGLAB 2022. I understand that the goal here is to precompute once. But there are issues I’m running into.

To do so I am setting the ‘filepath’ variable in std_makedesign.m to my desired directory for a given study (it is correctly set in the STUDY.design.filepath. This variable however is being ignored during the precomputation and the precomputed files are being written in the data file directory (default).

these are stored next to the data, doesn't matter the STUDY path -- if
you want to create multiple studies then you need copies of the data
note 1 - since precompute stores all single trials, this should not make
a difference to pull data from the same source
note 2 - using LIMO EEG and STUDY (create study --> browse for
datasets) allows to create as many designs as needed from the same
STUDY (study sets the files to read and from there different
analyses/designs are done combining as needed the subjects and
experimental conditions you want to use)
> A further issue is that even for the the same study, different designs, I am getting warnings that the files will be overwritten for the current STUDY.
if you use the 'Simple ERP STUDY' yes
> Question 2. How do I verify that the files that get written are respecting different parameters for different designs within a study - where is this recorded?
if you use LIMO EEG then it's in the LIMO files
