[Eeglablist] [DEADLINE APPROACHING] IEEE SMC Brain-Machine Interface Workshop

Dear colleagues,

The full paper submission deadline for the 2023 IEEE SMC Brain-Machine Interface (BMI) Workshop is fast approaching - March 30, 2023!

The Workshop will be held in Maui, Hawaii, USA from October 1-4, 2023 in hybrid format. Already confirmed are the BR41N.IO BCI hackathon, ceremony of the 2023 International BCI Award, keynote speech by Dr. Ming Hou on the Frontiers of Brain-Inspired Autonomous Systems, industry keynote speech by Andreas Forsland from Cognixion, and three special sessions:

- Machine learning for EEG-based brain-computer interfaces, Chair: Dongrui Wu
- SomatoSensory Information in Brain-Machine Interfaces, Chairs: Laurent Bougrain and Gabriela Herrera Altamira
- Representations of Neural Data in Brain-Machine Interfaces, Chairs: Felix Putze, Christian Herff, Lisa-Marie Vortmann, and Dean Krusienski

Full papers (up to 6 pages) will be peer-reviewed and presented orally, if accepted. Accepted full papers that are presented at the conference will appear in IEEE Xplore. If submitting a regular paper, please use the BMI Workshop Regular Papers category when submitting your papers.
If submitting to one of the Special Sessions, please use the BMI Workshop Special Session Papers category and include the special session code (will be available soon on the BMI Workshop website - https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://musaelab.ca/bmi23/smc2023_bmi.html__;!!Mih3wA!D8yi1xIs-Q1xKF0fqtVGHsuENK0z5bwRu9cROhrDHZn9UOLOzWeVnRgzOFVroGt5xfRHKhsTr2ipLf_DUJ12yZ5uDA$ ).

Abstracts or a “works in progress” abstract (1 page) will be reviewed by the Workshop TPC chairs and presented as a poster, if accepted. Abstracts will be listed only on the BMI Workshop website. Abstracts are to be submitted by email to tiago.falk at inrs.ca<mailto:tiago.falk at inrs.ca> by the deadline of July 2, 2023 and “works in progress” abstracts by August 18 2023.
