Hi,
I'm a new Biopac user and I'm trying to import some emg data acquired with
Biopac MP160 system (wireless system) into eeglab.
The data come from an experiment programmed with eprime, I present written
stimuli and record participants manual responses. I also have markers
signaling the presentation of each stimulus and the participant response.
On the biopac side, I'm recording emg from both participants' hands (one
channel per hand), at a sampling rate of 2000 Hz.
I've saved the data into 2 file formats: .mat and .acq (which should be the
biopac format).
I want to import these data into eeglab - I'm using the matlab version
r2023b and the latest version of eeglab. I've also installed the biopac and
the biosig plug in.
I first tried to import the .acq file, via the biosig extension, but I
receive an error saying that the data format is unsupported.
I then tried to import the .mat file, always using the biosig extension. In
this case, I could import the data, but I received a warning saying that
the sample rate is unknown. The data are thus automatically imported with a
sampling rate of 125 Hz and there is no way for me to specify a different
sampling rate. The result is that the latencies/timing of my markers are
all out of scale (but they would be correct if the sampling rate was
correctly read).
Note that if I open the .mat file in Matlab without passing through eeglab,
the sampling rate is correctly read.
Does anybody have any suggestion on how to read the .acq file in eeglab or
how to fix this issue in the sampling rate so that I can correctly read the
.mat file in eeglab?
Thanks!
