[Eeglablist] AMICA and muscle artifact removal

Dear all I have a question:

How much recording does AMICA require to remove muscle artifacts created during a motor task? Does the recording need to be over continuous task or can the task be short and the recording continue over time?

One of the tasks lasts about 5 seconds and will repeat it a few times for statistics. 
My idea is not to analyze ERP's but continuous sets of data segmented for the duration of the task.
