Postdoctoral position (Brainstem and Cortical Auditory Electrophysiology of Complex Sounds), Purdue University, Department of Speech Language Hearing Sciences. Position is available immediately in the Auditory Electrophysiology Laboratory of Ravi Krishnan (http://www.purdue.edu/hhs/slhs/research/Krishnan.html) and Speech Perception Laboratory of Keith Kluender. Our research programs investigate how complex sounds are encoded in the human brainstem and cortex, how experience shapes these representations, and what are the neural correlates of speech perception. Studies are conducted with both normal and impaired listeners. Purdue is home to a large and vibrant community of hearing researchers spanning all areas from molecular biology to auditory cognition (http://www.purdue.edu/research/phase/) and is situated within a strong and growing neuroscience community at Purdue University. Purdue is located in West Lafayette, Indiana, and enjoys all the amenities of a safe, environmentally conscious, highly-educated, and culturally sophisticated university community. Travel time is brief to Chicago and Indianapolis. The successful applicant should have a Ph.D. in Auditory Neuroscience/Hearing Science or a related field. Ability to analyze, write, and modify Matlab codes is required; experience in evoked potential recording and analyses is preferred.
