Assumption of temporal independence underlying ICA. (Fren) In terms of an underlying processing model, when will this assumption be fulfilled; when will it be violated? - if two different brain area’s respond at the same time to a stimulus? - if the time-lag between activation in two different areas is constant across trials? - If possible, answer in terms of the elegant cocktail-party analogy?
