Antivirus Software

Antivirus software is already installed on SCCN-installed workstations, but for all personal computers that are connected to the UCSD network, UC San Diego IT Services Security recommends using Sophos. It is free and is minimally intrusive.

• Sophos Home for Windows 
• Sophos Home for Mac
• Sophos Antivirus for Linux

If you cannot run Sophos on your device, IT Services Security recommends you select an antivirus solution from a major vendor, such as Microsoft, Symantec, or McAfee.
